Speech by Rt Hon Caroline Flint MP to the NHS 70th Birthday event in Edlington

It is a pleasure to be here, although I wanted to start by giving you a tweet posted by my daughter earlier this week:

Caroline Flint has praised Wavin UK for its investment in learning at its Edlington site.
The Don Valley MP was given a tour of the factory by Adrian Clifford, Engineering Manager, Jocelyn Walker, HR Partner, Andy Cullen, Unite Learning Organiser, and Richard Horsfield, Unite Learning Representative.
A veteran and long-time stalwart of the British Legion was praised by Caroline Flint this week for 45 years support for the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Don Astbury received an award from the Poppy Appeal, presented by Ms Flint, for his dedication to the cause of veterans and their families.
Don Valley MP Caroline Flint joined Lord Stoneham, Chair of Housing & Care 21 and Deputy Mayor Cllr Glynn Jones for the opening of the new housing project in Jubilee Close, Edlington.
Said Caroline: “The most exciting aspect of the Swallowdale housing and extra care scheme is that it is full and the residents love it.
Don Valley MP Caroline Flint has supported "Get Online Week" by holding the first ever Digital MP Surgery. Residents who have never taken part in an MP's Surgery held a Q&A session with Caroline via Skype from her constituency office.
